Who is eligible for the PM Surya Ghar subsidy?

Any homeowner with a valid domestic DHBVN electricity connection in Haryana is eligible. You must own the property (or have the owner's consent) and install a system of 1 kW or above.

How long does the entire process take?

From site visit to installation, the process takes 15–30 days. Subsidy disbursement from the government takes an additional 30–60 days and is transferred directly to your bank account.

Will I actually get ₹0 electricity bills?

A properly sized system eliminates consumption charges. You'll still pay a small fixed charge (~₹100–₹200/month) to DHBVN for the meter connection, but generation and consumption charges disappear.

What happens on cloudy or rainy days?

Your system stays grid-connected. On sunny days, you generate surplus and bank units with DHBVN (net metering). Those banked units offset cloudy-day consumption — you never run out.
